@MrEffectfilms I loved Avatar too… Inglourious Bastards was just plain awesome.
@batfly I agree that The Hurt Locker sucked ass, but dont diss Avatar, it remains one of my favorite films ever made.
@Taaplari The interesting thing about the red area is that the words tell you that there is a link to a higher resolution video. So try clicking the link to go to that video. There is no red on that one.
Is it me, or would it be nice if there was not that red area. Sorry my English.
I like how the fair use version uses actual footage from the film. You should do more of your reviews with that, especially for Iron Man 2.

Inglourious Bastards was by far the best movie for me too. Screw both Avatar and Hurt Locker if you are going to compare them to Inglourious Bastards.
@batfly Now u just proved my point about this movie being mediocre by just defending the visuals.not the story or writing but u do have a good point of not comparing Avatar 2 The Hurt Locker but it being an insult 2 men and women of the armed forces is false cause I heard alot of soldiers liked it. And they preached about the environment WAY 2 much. I was less focused on the movie quality because of that and Avatar also got boring 2. My movie of the year 4 me was Inglourious Basterds. I love it.

The fantasy of Avatar has nothing to do with how Hurt Locker was based off a real life war. So your argument is really grasping at thin air.
I saw Hurt Locker and it was really boring… I’d rather play a video game based on the Iraq War. It was a chore to watch.
Avatar was fun… and it was exciting… I have to agree with the political/preachy part of the Movie… But so what?
Since when does a movie have to pass the political bar of neutral to be great?

@batfly In all honsty,Avatar is severally over-rated. The least anyone could give it is a 2 and a half. The only reason why everyone loved this movie so much is because of the special effects. The story was unoriginal (Some dude who goes in a pod as a whole new person. I havent seen THAT before!Matrix,Seregates etc.),the writing was a joke,the acting is so so,and I hate when movies become preachy like Avatar did. The 3-D isnt all that good. So overall,its only a good rental.And Hurt Locker being
This movie is phenomenal!!! I’m really looking forward to the sequels that James Cameron will be doing. Rumors seem to say that we will see Pandora’s ocean, I can’t wait to see how stunning that will be. I love almost all of Cameron’s film from Alien to the Terminator. By the way I loved this review, Very Well Done ^_^.

@hunkatiel nice post. Maybe it was the way the little girl was directed that annoyed me. The character just seemed way to out of place and she reminds me of some films like war of the words remake. It sucks that they had to cut some of that out. It may have helped the story better, but I am sure they did that to keep the pacing up. I would never have put her in the movie if it was up to me. They way they did it was lame. IMO.
Newt was used to give Ripley someone to rescue. I never understood the instant mother/child bond before until I saw the directors cut with 16 extra minutes which gives more detail to Ripley’s being heartbroken after finding out her daughter died while Ripley was in cryosleep. That’s why she calls Newt “baby” after rescuing her.
@mrblacksreviews yea like the “youtube friendly one” was much quicker, I had no issues with it havint to load while watching it and yet some of my friends videos take forever if they have a big file like 100 megs or bigger it took me a while
@themadmoose245 You noticed that too eh? I have been on different channels and they have been REAL slow and other have been lightning fast.
i seem to notice that youtube gives more banwith for the videos to load on big name channels like failblog or shandawson, I have been wating for over 30 min and the video is only half loaded, that is bull shit

I was really shocked he have it 4 and a half they way he discribed avatar it seemed he liked it so much i was almost positive he’d give it 5.
@mrblacksreviews Oh no i fully support you always have always will i jsut would apreciate seeing a few new videos here and there as to whats up. I also jsut found it a little strange that this video hasn’t been taken down, not that i wanted it to

Great movie. The only thing i didn’t like was the plot. Too cliche.

4.5 for avatar is an insult in my humble opinion. The least one could do is give it the maximum rating possible.
And another thing… What is your take on why Avatar did not receive best picture at the Oscars?
In my opinion… The Oscars lost all credibility ignoring Avatar. The Hurt Locker? Come ON… I saw it and it was unrealistic and boring and actually insulting to men and women of the armed forces / aka Oscar material.
